PMI® Says Thanks on International Volunteer Day

PMI acknowledged International Volunteer Day by recognizing and thanking its volunteers for "working hard to improve the lives of others through the project management profession."

The International Volunteer Day for Economic and Social Development was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1985. Since then, governments, the UN system and civil society organizations have successfully joined volunteers around the world to celebrate the day on December 5.

The 2007 MetSIG Global Online Congress webinars are now available to DPC SIG members on MetSIG.org!

Just as the Congress was a breakthrough event, the process of delivering the archived webinars online is also a new service for the MetSIG. The SIG would appreciate receiving feedback on any problems you experience in playing the webinars so that we can address and correct these issues.

Register for Archived Webinars

  • Click on the Archived Webinars link on MetSIG.org.
  • Select the webinar you want to register for and click on the "Buy Now" button
    (you can only register for one webinar at a time).
  • Enter the promo code, DPCSMET.
  • Click on "Update" button and ensure that the total is 0.
  • Click on the "Checkout" button.
  • Complete the required fields* and hit the "Submit" button.
  • You will now be able to play the requested webinar.

The DPC SIG is a volunteer-driven organization. We encourage our members to be actively involved in SIG activities and special projects by:

  • filling leadership positions within the organization: Vice Chairs, Deputies, Committee Members
  • contributing articles to The Project Management Standard newsletter
  • managing special projects
  • working on designated project activities, Local Interest Group (LIG) meetings and professional development conferences
