in Making a Difference to DPC Project Managers?
Serve on the DPC SIG Board!
We
are pleased to announce our call for nominations for the
2009-2010 Board Member terms.
As announced in the
latest The Project Management Standard newsletter for the DPC SIG,
we are holding our 2008 elections in July. We will conclude the election
and announce the new board members
by September. We target the attendance at the October 2008 PMI®
Leadership Institute in Denver, Colorado for new board members as part
of their joining the leadership team. This allows us to get our new board
members up to speed quickly to deliver greater member value during their
two year term.
The board has extended the First Vice Chair term for an extra year to
separate the terms of the Chair from the Vice Chair, ensuring stability
on the board.
The

a PMI DPC SIG member in good standing to serve on the board. A
confirming e-mail will be sent to each nominee/appointee to verify
his or her agreement with the nomination/ appointment.

Volunteers
Needed to Judge the Donald S. Barrie Award Papers
The
DPC SIG is looking for volunteers to help judge
the entries for the Donald S. Barrie Award papers.
The winner of the award receives $500 and prominent publicity at a session
of the North American Congress as well as media attention in PMItoday
and the DPC SIG bulletin and newsletter.
Criteria for the award is the paper that best advances the PMBOK®
in the field of design, procurement and/or construction by providing a
useful contribution to the engineering and construction industry.
If you are interested in helping judge the papers please contact Sherrill
